The Red Carpet @ The BAFTAs 2010

February 24, 2010

On Sunday 21st Feb 2010 at the Royal Opera House, the stars were out in full force. The first to arrive was Duncan James and his E! Red Carpet co-presenter.

Duncan looked swerve in a dark gray pin striped suit, looking hot.

Anna Kendrick, nominated for supporting actress, was one of the first A-listers to arrive. She looked gorgeous in a yellow strapless dress.

Christoph Waltz, supporting actor winner, arrived in a lovely navy blue suit and was stopping for fans, writing autographs and shaking hands. I hadn’t heard so much noise in my life, people was screaming like mad, then I realised why. Quentin Tarantino had just showed up. Sorry didn’t get any pictures of him as he breezed passed only stopping for TV presenters.

When James Cameron, nominated for 3 awards, arrived the crowds went wild, with people fulling over, and loud chant of AVATAR. He also stopped to take pics with fans and sign autographs. AVATAR was nominated for 8 awards, won 2 for Best Visual Effects and Production Design. I was glad to see that the weather held up and it wasn’t raining like every other BAFTA awards show.

Jamie Winstone and Noel Clarke were presenting awards on the night and it was nice to see them on the red carpet, representing for the UK B-list. Kimberley Walsh was also on the red carpet presenting what was going on for MTV, loved her dress by the way.

Carey Mulligan, Leading actress winner, wore a beautiful dress walking down the red carpet.

The Universal Records Afterparty to the Brits Awards UK

February 19, 2010

Universal Records held a star studded event at Mandarine Oriental Hotel, Knightsbridge UK. The who’s who of A-list celebs arrived in droves. On arrival the paps were snaping away like hungry wolves, toppling over one another just to get the picture, making it hard for the average joe, like myself, to get pictures.

The night started with a performance by Titchy Stryder, whom by the way ROCKED. The DJ of the night surprisingly played good club bangers track after track.

Courtney Love was hiding in the corner with friends, she didn’t look like she was happy, but when I asked for a picture she was so pleasent. “You could tell she is truely a star.” A* for Courtney Love.

Drinks, compliments of Old Speckled Hen, were flowing, from what I could see most tables were showered with champagne.

Calum Best, Lee Ryan and Taio Cruz was just some of the male hotties turning up for this event. Once inside this is where you could see the guys letting lose and enjoying the fabulous evening. Channel 4’s Bo Selecta funny man Leigh Francis also was there sitting back like a cool cat. All the boy looked good enough to eat.

Heidi Range look lovely in a little black number, it showed all her curves and she looked great in it. Her other band mates looked good too but Heidi was the one how stood out to me, great dress love. Nicole Roberts look like a model, long and lean, and the dress she wore was nice but maybe not on her. I would have liked to see her dress on someone more curvier.Kimberley Walsh and othe band mate were enjoying themselves like they should, they’ve worked hard this year. Rachel Stevens look the part, loved her shoes, but I still don’t know what she’s been up to over the years. Floence Welsh gets outstanding for her fashion sence, she looked so nice I want her outfit. I also must say great win at the awards for her too. Best Album 5*.

N Dubz Tulisa and Faze was also partying the night away enjoying what I call a well deserved night out. I can’t forget Lily Allen, when she arrived the paps wasn’t liking her, she got a harmony of boo’s she just run in the venue.

Lady Gaga didn’t disappoint, her outfit was abstract . She reminded me of Candy Floss at the fair (Cotton Candy for my Americn friends), so I say A* for being Gaga.

After a few drinks I started to network and get into the swing of things. Met Rachel Hylton from The X Factor 08, she is still on the circuit working hard. Rachel has a great personality and is a HOOT to be around, A*. Other sightings were Boxer David Haye, couldn’t get any pictures of him as he was surrounded by thousands of people, HA HA HA. Unfortunately Nelly was a no-show, well he missed out. Check out the pictures of the night below.
